NASHVILLE, The Music City

It was a very planned trip. We´ve heard a lot about Nashville, and they were all good opinions. We already had an idea of what it would be, so we needed to go to check it out.

We were at first surprised about the contrast between the tipical edgy buildings and the skyscrapers that broke a bit the magic of the atmosphere. Although that atmosphere could be easily noticed by the ear. Music, music and more music... It makes sense with it's name as The Music City. Music was all over: in the streets, in the pubs where there was a live concert in EACH one,..even in headphones of the streets!! It was 5pm, but bars were already full and the party was on. Ainara and I were like children in a Toy Store, we didn't know were to start and we couldn't control our emotion; we wanted to enter in that American world, like two cowgirlsboys, even if it was just for that night.

We went into all the bars we could, not to loose anything, we even went into a karaoke, that we didn't try after seeing the level of the singers...
The next morning we went back to that street, and even at 1pm, more groupes were playing, and more people was listening. And that's the point that really amazed us: Nashville it's not a party that starts and finishes..it`s that 24h a day.. Unbelievable!!!

We stayed in the Nashville Downtown Hostel, a highly recommended place if you want to stay a couple of nights for a good deal. It's very well located and to keep on the line of the surroundings, each room has the name of a music group, U2 was ours.

We left with the sensation that Nashville is a not SO known destination as others can be in the US, but everyone should visit once in their lives. We had an idea of the city in our minds... but not even a half of what it shocked us...We're coming back.

I show you some pictures of the city and my look, with short jeans and a lace top that I found appropiate for the city. And I finish hte way it must be, with a bit of music of one of the concerts we enjoyed.
Hope you like them!
